Children experience a complete academic program in a prepared Montessori environment while also receiving the consistency and care families look for in childcare.
Montessori education is a child-centered approach that emphasizes independence, hands-on learning, and mixed-age classrooms. Students move through the curriculum at their own pace using specialized Montessori materials that make abstract ideas concrete—especially in math, language, and sensorial work.
In a Montessori school, you’re more likely to see children working in small groups or individually, choosing meaningful work, and collaborating across age levels. This builds focus, self-discipline, problem-solving skills, and a deep love of learning that carries into later grades.
Montessori Bilingual Academy of Rockledge offers a dual-language immersion program in English and Spanish.
Children hear and use both English and Spanish throughout the school day in songs, stories, lessons, and classroom routines. This natural exposure helps them build strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a flexible brain for future language learning.
No. Children do not need to be fluent in Spanish or English before enrolling.
Montessori dual-language classrooms are designed for children with a range of language backgrounds. Young children are especially wired for language; they absorb vocabulary, pronunciation, and patterns through daily interaction, repetition, and hands-on work with Montessori materials.
At Montessori Bilingual Academy of Rockledge, we offer four authentic Montessori programs, each designed to nurture independence, curiosity, and whole-child development in a bilingual environment.
Toddler Program (12–24 months and 2–3 years)
Developmental focus: independence, early language acquisition (English & Spanish), emotional security, and purposeful movement.
What children experience: practical life work (pouring, dressing, cleaning), sensory exploration, early motor development, and guided socialization.
How the environment supports them: a calm, ordered space scaled to their size, encouraging confidence, choice, and gentle routines.
Primary Program (Ages 3–6, including Kindergarten)
Developmental focus: building concentration, emerging literacy and numeracy, and cultivating responsibility.
What children experience: hands-on Montessori materials across Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language, and Cultural Studies (science, geography, art, music).
How the environment supports them: a mixed-age community where younger children learn through observation and older children grow through leadership.
Lower Elementary (Elementary I) (Ages 6–9)
Developmental focus: expanding imagination, big-picture thinking, collaborative work, and social development.
What children experience: the “Great Lessons,” geometry foundations, world maps, early research projects, and large, meaningful work that matches their natural energy.
How the environment supports them: a community built for exploration—letting curiosity drive deeper study and storytelling.
Upper Elementary (Elementary II) (Ages 9–12)
Developmental focus: abstract reasoning, complex problem-solving, independence, and leadership.
What children experience: advanced math (algebra and geometry), literature studies, scientific inquiry, cultural research, and student-led “going out” experiences.
How the environment supports them: increased responsibility, collaborative projects, and opportunities to practice real-world planning and decision-making.

Montessori classrooms at our Rockledge campus use mixed-age groupings with intentionally limited class sizes, led by Montessori-certified teachers and trained assistants.
This structure allows children to learn from one another, practice leadership, and receive individualized attention while still working within a strong, collaborative community.
In Montessori education, discipline grows from respect, clear limits, and natural consequences, rather than from punishment. Teachers model grace, courtesy, and problem-solving, and they guide children in resolving conflicts peacefully.
The environment—calm, orderly, and consistent—helps children regulate their own behavior, build empathy, and develop responsibility for themselves, their friends, and their classroom.
Yes. Montessori Bilingual Academy of Rockledge offers on-campus after-school programs such as soccer, ballet/tap, yoga, Little Ninjas, and Stretch-N-Grow fitness that is part of the After School Program.
These programs are offered after the regular school day and are run by qualified third-party professionals, giving families convenient access to high-quality activities without extra driving.
Montessori classrooms are intentionally designed to support a wide range of personalities and learning styles. Active children can move, explore, and work with hands-on materials; shy children find comfort in predictable routines and small-group work; advanced learners can progress beyond typical grade-level expectations at their own pace.
The goal is to meet each child where they are and help them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
