At Montessori Bilingual Academy of Rockledge, we offer four authentic Montessori programs, each designed to nurture independence, curiosity, and whole-child development in a bilingual environment.
Toddler Program (12–24 months and 2–3 years)
Developmental focus: independence, early language acquisition (English & Spanish), emotional security, and purposeful movement.
What children experience: practical life work (pouring, dressing, cleaning), sensory exploration, early motor development, and guided socialization.
How the environment supports them: a calm, ordered space scaled to their size, encouraging confidence, choice, and gentle routines.
Primary Program (Ages 3–6, including Kindergarten)
Developmental focus: building concentration, emerging literacy and numeracy, and cultivating responsibility.
What children experience: hands-on Montessori materials across Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language, and Cultural Studies (science, geography, art, music).
How the environment supports them: a mixed-age community where younger children learn through observation and older children grow through leadership.
Lower Elementary (Elementary I) (Ages 6–9)
Developmental focus: expanding imagination, big-picture thinking, collaborative work, and social development.
What children experience: the “Great Lessons,” geometry foundations, world maps, early research projects, and large, meaningful work that matches their natural energy.
How the environment supports them: a community built for exploration—letting curiosity drive deeper study and storytelling.
Upper Elementary (Elementary II) (Ages 9–12)
Developmental focus: abstract reasoning, complex problem-solving, independence, and leadership.
What children experience: advanced math (algebra and geometry), literature studies, scientific inquiry, cultural research, and student-led “going out” experiences.
How the environment supports them: increased responsibility, collaborative projects, and opportunities to practice real-world planning and decision-making.
